Arc Mercer provides a safe residential setting with caring staff who receive superior training, and the Arc prides itself on the many significant community activities it offers Arc residents. Arc residents also have access to unparalleled care exclusively available at Arc’s Healthcare Center (Mercer County’s only health facility dedicated to people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities). Together, Arc Mercer’s staff and Healthcare Center have achieved an unmatched level of care and safety:
- Over 380,000 doses of prescription medication dispensed annually with an extraordinary prescription medication error rate so low it would be the envy of almost any healthcare facility or hospital
- 550% decline in ER visits
- Virtual elimination of emergency hospitalizations
- Nearly 1,200 events are attended by arc residents each month an average of 15 events attended monthly by each resident
