Being a leader in transportation for people with disabilities, ArcTrans recognized the need to simplify transportation for people with disabilities, and create a system that is easy to use and manager for the rider, while being safe and offering the rider complete flexibility. Realizing this need, PODS was born. PODS is a prepaid, debit based system that features predetermined safe pick up and drop off locations spaced throughout the county. Riders meet at these locations and are picked by trained and professional Arc Trans drivers. Some examples of PODS pickup spots are: Sears entrance of Quakerbridge Mall, 180 Ewingville Rd, Kohl’s at Hamilton Marketplace, and 600 New York Ave in Trenton just to name a few. Many hours of operations using the PODS system are on nights and weekends.
Fares are based on one way transportation to give the rider maximum flexibility. Rider have the option of selecting the pickup and drop off point they would like to travel. Depending on where they travel rates are either $3, $4 or $5 each way. We even offer a flexible route feature for those desiring service at home for an additional $2 each way.
