Arc Mercer to Expand Day Program Capacity with New Campus Building

The Arc Mercer is poised for a significant expansion of its Day Program. Negotiations are underway between Arc Mercer's leadership and the Mercer County Special School District to secure a new building on the campus, nearly quadrupling the agency's current space.

The proposed move from the agency's leased 6,000 square feet to a spacious 26,000 square feet facility signals a remarkable milestone in Arc Mercer's journey. This strategic decision will not only accommodate the growing demand for services but also pave the way for an approximate 120-individual capacity increase in its day programs.

The agency's leadership is targeting a July 1st occupancy date pending the finalization and signing of the lease agreement. This transition marks a new chapter for Arc Mercer, embodying a commitment to growth, innovation, and inclusivity.

Arc Mercer's day programs offer a range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of participants, including skill-building activities, socialization opportunities, and community integration initiatives. The expanded space will enable the agency to further enrich its programs and foster a nurturing environment where individuals can thrive and achieve their full potential.

The news of Arc Mercer's expansion has generated widespread excitement and anticipation within the community. Stakeholders, supporters, and families alike are eagerly awaiting the realization of this transformative endeavor, recognizing its profound impact on the lives of those served by the agency.

As Arc Mercer prepares to embark on this new chapter of growth and prosperity, the agency remains steadfast in its mission to champion inclusivity, independence, and dignity for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
