The Arc Mercer's Beverly Roberts Scholarship Fund

Updated: Dec 17

The Arc Mercer is proud to announce the establishment of the Beverly Roberts Scholarship Fund, a testament to our commitment to both honoring a remarkable advocate and nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals dedicated to serving the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) community.

A Tribute to Beverly Roberts

This scholarship fund bears the name of Beverly Roberts, an individual whose tireless dedication to advancing medical care for the I/DD community spanned over three decades. Her advocacy work, both locally and globally, resulted in significant policy changes and improved the lives of countless individuals and families. We are honored to continue her legacy by supporting future providers in this critical field.

Investing in Tomorrow's Caregivers

At The Arc Mercer, we deeply value the contributions of our interns who provide exceptional care to our consumers. We recognize their vital role in shaping the future of I/DD healthcare, and we are committed to providing them with the resources they need to thrive.

The Beverly Roberts Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to graduate and above-level interns working at our Healthcare Center, assisting them with outstanding tuition charges. This financial support is a tangible investment in their education and a reflection of our appreciation for their dedication to our mission.

Building a Sustainable Future

The fund will be sustained through voluntary payroll deductions from our dedicated Arc Mercer employees and through generous donations from the community. Your contributions will directly empower future healthcare providers and ensure the continuation of Beverly Roberts' legacy of advocacy and compassion.

All graduate and above-level interns providing care to consumers at our Healthcare Center are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Join Us in Making a Difference

The Beverly Roberts Scholarship Fund represents a unique opportunity for our community to come together and support the next generation of healthcare heroes. Whether you are a current employee, a potential intern, or a community member who shares our passion for empowering the I/DD community, we invite you to join us in this meaningful endeavor.
