The Arc Mercer Horticulture Community Engagement program is a 13-week program, that is available year-round. This program allows participants to be engaged while working hands-on with staff. Over the course of the 13 weeks they are exposed to a variety of aspects within the field of horticulture.

Our program is community-based working at the Greenhouse at Marie Katzenbach School for the Deaf.

Program participants get to grow plants and flowers and see how the growing experience happens and how they were involved.

During the program participants spend time at Fernbrook Farm, during the growing season, where they learn about agriculture and how the farm plays a role within our community. In addition, participants help with various activities around the farm.
